Principal’s Message

If we don’t stand up for children, then we don’t stand for much”. – Marian Wright Edelman

Welcome to another School Year! We look forward to a continuation of the mutually beneficial partnership.

We trust you remain healthy, and are very excited about the many goals and aspirations to be achieved in this calendar year, both personally and for us a nation. Let us give thanks for being blessed in the many ways that we are.

We use this medium to highlight the completion of the playfield rehabilitation project, yes, we now duly look forward to reaping its benefits and accolades.

Let us each take the time to speak and play with, do a number of recreational and spiritual engagements with our children. Listen to them, be the guide and role models that we ought to be to ensure that with a clear and fair conscience we do our part to nation building.

The Board of Governors and School’s Administrative staff are committed to providing a safe, positive, intellectual learning environment that will empower our students to become creative problem-solvers, critical thinkers and inspired learners, prepared for the upcoming changes of high school. Situated in a challenging, national and regional financial context, we remain firm in our quest to build a more robust and sustainable campus. Consequently, I will continue my mission of setting high expectations for our students, with regard to their academic performance in the classroom, participation in co-curricular activities, as well as responsible citizenship at School and in the wider community.

Recognizing that parents are an integral part of the School community we invite the entire parent body to join with all other stakeholders, that are – faculty, staff, and students – to seriously commit to taking
P R I D E – the acronym for – Personal Responsibility In Daily Efforts, as our Mantra. Become today, and beyond, active participants in the teaching and learning process! We need to act responsibly, as individuals within our learning community, and prove that we can be a powerful, enabling agent in fueling a collaborative, cooperative force for the achievement of our goals. This action would surely guarantee the birth of a mutually respectful, successful, and exciting School Year.

Let us work together diligently and creatively to achieve the aims and objectives not only of our School but in so doing, play our part in advancing the welfare of our country, Jamaica Land we love.

Do remember the School’s Vision:

“Our Lady of the Angels Preparatory School aims to maintain the highest ranking for delivering top quality education to its charges for the betterment of the society and community through individual scholastic achievements”
